JOE HILLHOUSE Gävle son Joe Hill emigrated to U.S. in 1902, where he worked as a songwriter & agitators. He was executed 1915. His childhood home in Old Gefle is now a museum. Opening hours vary.

CITY WALK Gävle can boast with public art amongst the houses and in parks. Look at the fine old house with copper roof and take a walk in the Old Gefle. Gävle City organizes guided tours, but it is also possible to walk by yourself from a city map that you'll find at our info-desk.

CONSERT HALL It looks like a blue tin and was intensely debated when it was built. Now the citizens of Gävle have else to worry about and the concert hall is building its good reputation for various music arrangements for a wide crowd.
