CANCELLATION
We follow the SHR's guidelines for cancellation. Cancellation must be made before 18:00 the day before arrival, otherwise you will be charged the full rate for the first night.

PARKING
Public street parking applies. Free during evenings, nights and holidays.

 

MC PARKING
We have a locked courtyard where motorcycles can be set at night.

 

AVAILABILITY
The building dates from the 1800s whereupon many stairs and level differences occur. Availability adapted toilet. There is a lift, but not accessibility compliant. The elevator and entrance have several steps in front.

WHERE IS JÄRNVÄGSHOTELLET
Just opposite the street, in front of the central station in Gävle on Centralplan 3. We are found on the second floor.

 

WHERE IS ANNEXET
Annexet is now named Hotel Alderholmen. You can find it at Norra Skeppsbron 3C. Behind the Central Station, the second building along the river.

DIRECTIONS TO JÄRNVÄGSHOTELLET
1. From road 80 & Europe road 4 (E4) it's best to take the West exit / entrance to the center, "Gävle C", you will have the cemetery & Boulognerskogen (city park) on your right.
2. At the fourth traffic light, take the local loop on the left, onto the Staketgatan.
3. At the second traffic lights turn right onto Norra Kungsgatan.
4. At the following traffic lights take a left onto Nygatan.
5. Follow Nygatan to the end, where you should turn right.
6. Drive one block, where you will find Järnvägshotellet on your right side, opposite the Central Station, at address Central Plan 3.

LATE ARRIVAL
Reception closes usually 20:00 (Summertime 21:00) It is possible to arrive after that, if payment is made in advance by credit card. Business customers can be billed.

CODELOCK
To access all of our guests and visitors need an access code. You will get it at booking. The code changes often for security reasons.

 

CHECK OUT
Rooms must be submitted no later than 12:00.

 

PAYMENT
Is due upon arrival.We accept Visa & MasterCard.

 

BILLING
We bill corporate clients by appointment.

BREAKFAST

Our breakfast contains a variety of bread, juices, cheese, salami, turkey, marmelades, jam, eggs, vegetables, yogurt, milk, several kinds of müsli and flakes. Coco-milk and of course tea & coffe.

Breakfast is always included in room prices, but not if you are renting our apartment.

 

ALLERGIES
No allergy-free room is available, but let us know if you are allergic to fur, you can get a room in which animals never get to stay.

 

FOOD ALLERGIES
Please let us know if you have special requests for breakfast. We do what we can to satisfy our guests needs.


SMOKING
Smoking is prohibited in the hotel premises.

 

DISTURBING SOUND

Traffic and noise from a nearby restaurant may bother some people. Please let us know if you need a quite room, we will do our best.

 

PETS
You can bring quiet and clean dogs or cats for an extra cleaning fee of 200sek per day, subject to availability. Notify this when booking!

 

INTERNET
Free wireless Internet is available in the hotel premises. Your own computer is needed.
